About TEDxAmoskeagMillyard

More than a decade ago, a group of passionate community members took their love of TED Talks and brought TEDxAmoskeagMillyard to southern New Hampshire, organizing their first event in 2011 at the University of New Hampshire in Manchester. Since that inaugural event, we’ve held daylong events with phenomenal speakers and performers, engaging TEDxSalons, and TEDxWomen events in tandem with the global TEDWomen, at Southern New Hampshire University, Jupiter Hall, Bedford Public Library, and Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy.

Since October 2011, TEDxAmoskeagMillyard is one of the most prolific TEDx events based out of the southern New Hampshire/Greater Boston region. Widely recognized in the TED and TEDx community for our thematic events, thought-provoking speakers, entertaining performances, and diverse line-up of topics over the past decade, we aspire to bring people together over ideas worth spreading.

Our TEDx Talks Acquired a Global Audience

Our roster of TEDx Talks, recorded before live audiences at our in-person events, have reached millions of people around the world and have been translated into 25 different languages. Some of the most notable, far-reaching talks include Tania Simoncelli’s “Should you be able to patent a human gene?,” Dan Habib’s “Disabling segregation,” and Dawn Huebner’s “Rethinking anxiety: Learning to face fear. These are just a few examples of the range of compelling speakers and topics we’ve been fortunate to host and witness at TEDxAmoskeagMillyard events, and we invite you to click through our video archives.

Powerful Alumni Group

We have evolved into a powerful alumni group of speakers, performers, and event organizer volunteers. Our speakers have gone on to change the world through their achievements in technology, entertainment and design across many fields of interest, including scientific discoveries, humanistic research, and personal triumphs of the human spirit.

Extraordinary Opportunities

Countless hours of planning and collaboration, from our team of volunteers who help produce each event, culminates with extraordinary opportunities for people to come together in our community. We enjoy intriguing talks, which spark new perspectives and provocative conversations among our in-person and online audiences, who often tune in and participate via our social media platforms.

Home to World-Class Companies and Organizations

The reach and engagement of TEDxAmoskeagMillyard, which began as a small gathering of less than 100 people in the historic Manchester Millyard venue spaces — also now home to world-class companies and organizations, many of whom have been sponsorship partners for our events over the years — has grown to encompass a global audience.

Over a decade strong, we continue to inspire and grow, dedicated to bringing together those who share the common curiosity that comes with a mindset of life-long learning and a love of storytelling. Our powerful network of audience participants, community partners, volunteers, and speakers continue to stay connected with us across more than a dozen events since 2011.

As we continue to evolve, one thing remains the same: Our passion for TED —and the remarkable ideas and performances shared each time we gather.
